Nursery Program

G-d Is In The Synagogue Nursery

Where is G-d on Shabbat morning? Of course, G-d is everywhere! We know that G-d is enthroned in the praises of his people. (Psalm 22:3) When we gather to worship – G-d is with us. Yes, G-d is even in the nursery.

As a parent you want to know your little ones will be well cared for. Sometimes the nursery program is an after thought in faith communities. Not so at Congregation Simchat Yisrael. Our community volunteers weekly to staff the nursery. Our nursery head oversees the staffing and makes sure that your children will receive loving care.

The scriptures teach us that Yeshua took a child in his arms, he said to his disciples and the crowd, “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” (Mark 9:36-37). When you welcome a child in the name of Yeshua you welcome Yeshua himself. When we minister to children – G-d is with us.

If you wonder why we put so much attention on our nursery program, the answer is simple.  It's because the children are blessings from G-d. We hope one day you'll come to Simchat Yisrael and bless us with your children.
