SHABBAT SCHOOL

Our Children are the future. It is our responsibility to teach them, nurture them, and grow them up knowing who they are as Messianic Jews. Our goal is to raise Jewish children who can move freely in the Jewish community, knowing their Messiah intimately.

We have a nursery for the youngest among us. For children ages 4 to 12, our Shabbat School classes teach Torah, the teachings of our Messiah, Jewish history, culture, Hebrew language, liturgy and texts. The lessons are designed and administered to provide an exciting hands on experience.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Training

Our children begin their Bar/Bat Mitzvah training from the age of 12. They’re taught to chant the Torah with the cantor, and study Jewish history with the Rabbi. B’nai Mitzvah is an important accomplishment in lives of every Jewish teen and is celebrated with passion at Simchat Yisrael.

Junior Congregation

Junior Congregation is a special time of worship is geared toward the younger members of our synagogue. New sounds and melodies are given to time honored prayers. Youth of all ages are part of this special celebration. The junior congregation leader assisted by teens create an environment conducive to making real worship accessible to our younger constituency.

Our goal is to get our youth used to worship in an intimate way at a young age. To teach them the liturgy of the Jewish people and allow them to make it their own.

Junior Congregation meets at least once per month and is open to youth - 4 yrs old through teen. Our youth look forward to this time of independence. As parents, we want our children to value what we value. Junior congregation is a great vehicle to help all parents achieve that goal. We want our children to grow up and truly be part of the worship service. We look forward to seeing your young person at Junior Congregation.

L A U N C H Teen Program

The vision of our L A U N C H Teen program is to create an environment where our teens can be taught, prepared, and enabled to enter an adult Messianic Jewish relationship with G-d, thus creating the next generation of Messianic Jewish believers and followers of Messiah.

Simchat Yisrael believes that children are the most valuable resource that any faith community has. So often, parents do their best to supply a good education for their children. They make sure they learn how to read, write, and excel in all areas of academics. Too often, that is where the educational process ends. We need to impart our knowledge of G-d to them in addition to the academics in order to give them the greatest advantages in life. Simchat Yisrael recognizes that teenagers strive to be recognized as adults and in order to help them accomplish this, they must be well equipped for whatever life has to offer them.

Simchat Yisrael’s goal is to impart the faith and traditions of our people to the next generation. We have chosen to create an environment where our teens can put their faith into action. Our teens fast, pray and study the Tenakh. They help the community through food drives, clothing give always, and other social endeavors. They become people who not only believe in G-d but who act on their beliefs. They become people who make our community a better place.

L A U N C H is also a place where friendships are nurtured and good times are had. During our meetings we have great food and fantastic ice-breakers. Our teens love to attend L A U N C H and look forward to the weekly meetings. Life is not simply about learning, it is about living. Our teens have a great appreciation of life and all the blessings that G-d has created.
